Care & Sizing

 

 

Most of my photography prop items are intended for newborns (0-14 days old). The standard sizing for a newborn head circumference is 13 inches with some stretch. All of my items are made as per pattern instructions and recommended sizing, so if you require something smaller or larger than usual, please contact me prior to ordering.

 

HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE MEASUREMENTS

 

Newborn - 13 inches

3 months - 16 inches

6 months - 17 inches

12 months - 18 inches

2 years - 19 inches

3-5 years - 20 inches

6-10 years - 21 inches

Adult (small) - 22 inches

Adult (medium) - 23 inches

Adult (large) - 24 inches

 

 

I use many yarn fibres, from acrylic to wool, and some are not machine washable. All my items come with a swing tag which displays washing instructions. The acrylic I use is generally machine washable and dryable, but I would still wash in a hoisery bag to avoid unneccessary stretching or damage. For more delicate fibres, such as wool, I would recommend washing in cold water using a mild baby detergent, gently roll in a towel to absorb excess moisture and then lay flat to dry.
